Our Mission:

The sole purpose of The Brass Ring Incorporated, formed 12/8/2023, is to utilize funds raised through raffle proceeds, to financially support organizations located in the State of Wisconsin who promote outdoor youth programming.

Examples of these organizations include, but are not limited to: Boy Scouts Of America, Girl Scouts Of The USA, 4H, Local Youth Trap Teams, WI DNR-Hunter Education, and any other group approved by a 2/3 vote of The Brass Ring Incorporated Executive Board

Our Guiding Principles

Respect For The Outdoors

Each of us at The Brass Ring has a profound respect and adoration for the outdoors. we enjoy spending time in the outdoors ourselves, and all volunteer for organizations that encourage youth to spend time outdoors.

It is this love of the outdoors that has enabled us to come together and create this non-profit organization to raise funds to assist other organizations that provide outdoor opportunites for youth.

Creating Opportunities

As youth, we all were exposed to opportunities to experience the outdoors through family, friends, school, youth organizations, and mentors.

We understand that today's youth have many opportunities to spend their time and have many more distractions than we ever had.

We want to make sure the organizations that provide these positive outdoor programming opportunities have the financial resources to be successful.

Paying It Forward

The Brass Ring using the proceeds from our various raffles and public donations to support these local organizations that provide outdoor programing for youth in the state of Wisconsin.

We want to provide the youth as many positive and safe options to go out and enjoy the outdoors, and to learn the knowledge and skills to enjoy it for the rest of their lives...and with any luck they will choose to pass those skills on to the next generation after we are gone.

Executive Board Members

Dave Madsen

Founder

Dave enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, especially in the woods or on the water. Hunting and Fishing are some of his favorite activities especially with his friends and family. He volunteers with Scouting, and is a WI DNR Hunter Safety instructor.

Deb Nelson

Founder

Deb is a dedicated lab assistant with a passion for hands-on work and problem-solving. Outside of the lab, she enjoys spending time in nature, whether it's camping under the stars, shooting, or spending time at our local Boy Scout Camp..

Joe Wurm

Founder

Joe can't remember a time when the outdoors was not a part of his life growing up (he still hasn't grown up). Fishing and hunting are his favorite sports. Serving as a leader to youth in scouting has taught him a lot about who he is and what he wants to give back to youth outdoor programs.
